A few months ago I decided that I needed to familiarize myself more with the East End to help with identifying yes/no areas during the house hunt. I found out that you could make custom maps using Google My Maps and share them with whomever. So one day I set out to driving up and down every street in the area and using my laptop in the car, noted the areas that I would/wouldn't like to live in. The tool was very handy because I could put icons for landmarks (e.g., trees for woodsy areas; baseball for baseball field, etc.)

edit: I was able to get into the #1 area I desired, thanks to the brilliance and help of my real estate agent and mentor, Margot Perez
