The light fixture is "secured" to the ceiling with 2 drywall screws at each end to form a sort of artful, janky hook dangling over the shower:

Loose, untrustworthy hooks

something rather exciting, quite shocking, and not altogether very pleasant
Maybe I'll get around to fixing this someday.
