2 doors down is an empty lot that has a man-made hill with this beautiful statue on it:

It just tickles me that the head is missing!

The Bungalow Hunt

A few months ago I decided that I needed to familiarize myself more with the East End to help with identifying yes/no areas during the house hunt. I found out that you could make custom maps using Google My Maps and share them with whomever.  So one day I set out to driving up and down every street in the area and using my laptop in the car, noted the areas that I would/wouldn't like to live in. The tool was very handy because I could put icons for landmarks (e.g., trees for woodsy areas; baseball for baseball field, etc.)

Driving Down Navigation Blvd in Houston, TX (EaDo)

The City of Houston recently revamped Navigation Blvd as part of the East End Revitalization Project (EaDo). This is just down the street from my neighborhood. The video was taken 6 months before I closed on the house and the revitalization of the area is one of the factors that made it a desirable location.
